Hadith 18553

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِمَّا أَحَبَّ أَوْ مِمَّا يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَقُومَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ " رَبِّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ " أَوْ " تَجْمَعُ عِبَادَكَ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we used to pray behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), we considered it good to stand on the right side of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “O Lord! On the day when You gather Your servants, keep me safe from Your punishment.” The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
