Hadith 18552

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا نَامَ ، وَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى خَدِّهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to sleep, he would make his right hand a pillow and recite this supplication: O Allah! On the day You gather Your servants, protect me from Your punishment.
