حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ أَوْ مِنْ أَعْلَمِ النَّاسِ بِوَقْتِ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعِشَاءَ ، كَانَ يُصَلِّيهَا مِقْدَارَ مَا يَغِيبُ الْقَمَرُ لَيْلَةَ ثَالِثَةٍ ، أَوْ رَابِعَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) that I know more than all people about the 'Isha prayer of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer this prayer on the third night of the beginning of the month after the moon had set.
