Hadith 18319

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، وَيُونُسُ ، قَالاَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عَزْرَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ يُونُسُ إِنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ التَّيَمُّمِ ، فَقَالَ : " ضَرْبَةٌ لِلْكَفَّيْنِ وَالْوَجْهِ " . وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي التَّيَمُّمِ : " ضَرْبَةٌ لِلْوَجْهِ وَالْكَفَّيْنِ ".
It is narrated from Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about tayammum, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One strike is for both hands and one strike is for the face.
