Abu Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that when a pious man passed away or his funeral was brought out, on the way back we met Hazrat Khalid bin Urfatah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sulaiman bin Surad (may Allah be pleased with him). Both of these were companions. They said that you people performed the funeral prayer of this pious man before we arrived. The people replied that he had died due to a stomach illness, and due to the heat, there was a danger of the body being harmed. So one of them looked at the other and said, "Did you not hear the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say that whoever dies due to a stomach illness will not be punished in the grave?" The other said, "Why not."
