Hadith 18250

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ مُرَيِّ بْنِ قَطَرِيٍّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ الطَّائِيِّ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّا نَصِيدُ الصَّيْدَ ، فَلَا نَجِدُ سِكِّينًا إِلَّا الظِّرَارَ ، وَشِقَّةَ الْعَصَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَرَّ الدَّمَ بِمَا شِئْتَ ، وَاذْكُرْ اسْمَ اللَّهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that I once submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! When we hunt, sometimes we do not find a knife, only a sharp stone or the sharp edge of a stick is available, so what should we do? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shed the blood with whatever you wish, taking the name of Allah.
