It is narrated from Hazrat Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was once with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went into a valley to relieve himself. After returning from there, he performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks. I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Perhaps you forgot that you did not remove your socks?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Absolutely not, you have forgotten. My Lord has commanded me to do this."
