It is narrated from Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day when the son of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Ibrahim, passed away, there was a solar eclipse. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and delivered a sermon, saying: "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of anyone's death. They are two signs among the signs of Allah. Therefore, when either of them is eclipsed, you should immediately turn towards prayer until it is over."
