Hadith 18199

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ ، وَعَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، سمعا ورادا كتب إليه يعني المغيرة : كتب إليه معاوية : اكتب إلي بشيء سمعته من رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ يَعْنِي الْمُغِيرَةَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ " .
Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) once wrote a letter to Hazrat Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) asking him to write and send something that he had heard from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He replied that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he used to say: There is no deity except Allah, He is One, He has no partner, sovereignty belongs to Him and all praise is for Him, and He has power over everything.
