حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرٌ ، عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ ، عَنْ كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَوَضَّأَ ، فَمَسَحَ أَسْفَلَ الْخُفِّ وَأَعْلَاهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mughira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once performed ablution and wiped over both the upper and lower parts of his socks.
