Hadith 18186

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آخِذًا بِحُجْزَةِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سَهْلٍ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا سُفْيَانُ بْنَ أَبِي سَهْلٍ ، لَا تُسْبِلْ إِزَارَكَ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْبِلِينَ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) holding the back of Sufyan bin Abi Sahil and saying, "O Sufyan bin Abi Sahil, do not let your lower garment hang below the ankles, for Allah does not like those who let their lower garment hang below the ankles." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
