Once, Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) asking him to write something he had heard from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). In reply, he wrote: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Allah dislikes three things for you: idle talk, excessive questioning, and wasting wealth.
