Hadith 18158

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنِي وَرَّادٌ كَاتِبُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ ، اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى فَفَرَغَ ، قَالَ : " لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ " قَالَ : وَأَظُنُّهُ قَالَ : " وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ " .
Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) once wrote a letter to Hazrat Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) asking him to write and send something that he had heard from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He replied that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would finish the prayer, he used to say: There is no deity except Allah, He is One, He has no partner, sovereignty belongs to Him and all praise is for Him. O Allah! No one can withhold what You give, and no one can give what You withhold, and the status of any person of status cannot benefit him before You.
