حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ بِحُجْزَةِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سَهْلٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " يَا سُفْيَانُ بْنَ أَبِي سَهْلٍ ، لَا تُسْبِلْ إِزَارَكَ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْبِلِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) holding the back of Sufyan bin Abi Sahal and saying, "O Sufyan bin Abi Sahal! Do not let your lower garment hang below the ankles, for Allah does not like those who let their lower garment hang below the ankles."
