حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُHadith of a man from Banu Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18071

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ حَاجِبِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ سَلَامَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، أَطْعَمْتَ وَسَقَيْتَ ، وَأَشْبَعْتَ وَأَرْوَيْتَ ، فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ غَيْرَ مَكْفُورٍ ، وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ ، وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْكَ " .
It is narrated from a companion of Banu Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished eating, he would recite this supplication: O Allah! All praise is due to You, for You have fed, given drink, quenched thirst, and satisfied the stomach. All praise is due to You, in which there is no ingratitude; it cannot be abandoned, nor can one do without You.
