Hadith 18052

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ارْكَبُوا هَذِهِ الدَّوَابَّ سَالِمَةً ، وَابْتَدِعُوهَا سَالِمَةً ، وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوهَا كَرَاسِيَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ride animals when they are healthy and sound, and let them go in the same condition. Do not consider them as chairs for your conversations with each other on roads and in markets.
