Hadith 18028

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَزْهَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْحَرَازِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا كَبْشَةَ الْأَنْمَارِيَّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسًا فِي أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَدَخَلَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ وَقَدْ اغْتَسَلَ ، فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَدْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ ؟ قَالَ : " أَجَلْ ، مَرَّتْ بِي فُلَانَةُ ، فَوَقَعَ فِي قَلْبِي شَهْوَةُ النِّسَاءِ ، فَأَتَيْتُ بَعْضَ أَزْوَاجِي فَأَصَبْتُهَا ، فَكَذَلِكَ فَافْعَلُوا ، فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ أَمَاثِلِ أَعْمَالِكُمْ إِتْيَانُ الْحَلَالِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Kabsha Anmari (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting with his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), when suddenly he went into his house. When he came out, he had performed ghusl (ritual bath). We asked, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) Has something happened?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes! Just now a woman passed by me, and a desire for a woman arose in my heart, so I went to my wife and fulfilled my desire with her. If such a situation arises with you, then do the same, because your best action comes through the lawful way."
