Hadith 18025

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، وَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ الْأَنْمَارِيِّ مِنْ غَطَفَانَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي مَثَلُ أَرْبَعَةِ نَفَرٍ " فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالًا وَلَمْ يُؤْتِهِ عِلْمًا ، فَهُوَ يَخْبِطُ فِيهِ ، لَا يَصِلُ فِيهِ رَحِمًا ، وَلَا يُعْطِي فِيهِ حَقًّا " . .
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, and I heard him narrate from Abu Kabshah al-Anmari from Ghatafan, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "The example of my ummah is like the example of four men." Then he mentioned the hadith except that he said: "A man to whom Allah gave wealth but did not give him knowledge, so he squanders it, does not maintain family ties with it, and does not give its due right."
