It is narrated from Hazrat Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Whoever is appointed as a governor on our behalf and does not have a house in the relevant city, he may build a house; if he does not have a wife, he may marry; if he does not have a servant, he may keep one; if he does not have a mount, he may keep one. But whatever he takes beyond this, he will be considered a betrayer and a thief in the sight of Allah. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
