Hadith 17886

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ الدَّمَ ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Perform 'aqiqah on the birth of a boy; remove impurities and sacrifice an animal on his behalf.
