حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ أُمِّ الرَّائِحِ بِنْتِ صُلَيْعٍ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَهِيَ عَلَى ذِي الْقُرْبَى ثِنْتَانِ صِلَةٌ وَصَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: Giving charity to a poor person has a single reward, and giving charity to close relatives has a double reward—one for charity and the other for maintaining family ties.
