Hadith 17882

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " فِي الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Perform 'aqiqah on the birth of a boy; remove impurities, etc., and sacrifice an animal on his behalf.
