Hadith 17866

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ فِرَاسٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ مُطِيعُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ : " لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يُقْتَلَ قُرَشِيٌّ بَعْدَ يَوْمِهِ هَذَا صَبْرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Muti’ bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: After today, no permission will be given to kill any Quraishi in a state of oppression.
