Hadith 17825

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " فَإِنْ اجْتَهَدْتَ فَأَصَبْتَ الْقَضَاءَ ، فَلَكَ عَشَرَةُ أُجُورٍ ، وَإِنْ اجْتَهَدْتَ فَأَخْطَأْتَ ، فَلَكَ أَجْرٌ وَاحِدٌ ".
Hashim narrated to us, he said: Al-Faraj narrated to us, from Rabi‘ah ibn Yazid, from ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similarly, except that he said: "If you strive and judge correctly, you will have ten rewards, and if you strive and make a mistake, you will have one reward."
