Hadith 17822

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ الْمُرَادِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَظْهَرُ فِيهِمْ الرِّبَا ، إِلَّا أُخِذُوا بِالسَّنَةِ ، وَمَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَظْهَرُ فِيهِمْ الرُّشَا ، إِلَّا أُخِذُوا بِالرُّعْبِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The nation in which usury becomes widespread is afflicted with famine, and the nation in which bribery becomes common is overcome with fear."
