Hadith 17819

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي الْمَخْرَمِيَّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَن بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْقُرْآنُ نَزَلَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ ، عَلَى أَيِّ حَرْفٍ قَرَأْتُمْ ، فَقَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ ، فَلَا تَتَمَارَوْا فِيهِ ، فَإِنَّ الْمِرَاءَ فِيهِ كُفْرٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The Noble Qur'an has been revealed upon seven letters, so whichever letter you recite according to, you will recite correctly. Therefore, do not dispute about the Noble Qur'an, for disputing about the Qur'an is disbelief.
