It is narrated from Hazrat Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man presented himself in the court of the Messenger and said, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) Which deed is the most virtuous?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Faith and affirmation in Allah, striving in the path of Allah, and an accepted Hajj." That man said, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) You have mentioned many things." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then gentle speech, feeding others, being easy-going, and good character are the most virtuous deeds." He said, "I only want to know one thing." The Prophet said, "Then go and do not let yourself be accused of anything."
