حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيْرٍ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ ، فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا . حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " نِعْمَ الْفَتَى سَمُرَةُ ، لَوْ أَخَذَ مِنْ لِمَّتِهِ ، وَشَمَّرَ مِنْ مِئْزَرِهِ " . فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ سَمُرَةُ ، أَخَذَ مِنْ لِمَّتِهِ ، وَشَمَّرَ مِنْ مِئْزَرِهِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Samurah bin Fatik is such a good man if only he would cut his hair and tie his lower garment properly." Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) then did so: he cut his hair and tied his lower garment properly.
