It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Tha'labah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the court of Prophethood, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), please tell me which things are lawful for me and which things are unlawful?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head and looked at me from bottom to top and said, "It is a small piece of news." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), is it news of good or evil?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Of good." Then he said, "Do not eat the meat of domesticated donkeys and do not eat the meat of any predatory animal that hunts with its canine teeth." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
