حَدِيثُ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُHadith of Mirdas al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 17730

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُقْبَضُ الصَّالِحُونَ الْأَوَّلُ فَالْأَوَّلُ ، حَتَّى يَبْقَى كَحُثَالَةِ التَّمْرِ أَوْ الشَّعِيرِ لَا يُبَالِي بِهِمْ شَيْئًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mirdas Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The righteous people will be taken away one by one, and only worthless people will remain behind, like the husks of dates (or barley), whom Allah will not care about at all.
