حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُبَارَكٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَيْفُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَدِيَّ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ الْكِنْدِيَّ يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلًى لَنَا أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَدِّي يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يُعَذِّبُ " فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
Ahmad ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Abdullah—meaning Ibn al-Mubarak—narrated to us, he said: Saif ibn Abi Sulayman informed us, he said: I heard Adi ibn Adi al-Kindi say: A mawla of ours narrated to me that he heard my grandfather say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Indeed, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, does not punish..." and he mentioned the hadith.
