حَدَّثَنَا هَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ عَقِيلِ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ السُّلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ لُقْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْوَصَابِيِّ ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ السُّلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : اسْتَكْسَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " فَكَسَانِي خَيْشَتَيْنِ " ، فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي أَلْبِسُهُمَا وَأَنَا مِنْ أَكْسَى أَصْحَابِي .
It is narrated from Hazrat Utbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for clothes to wear. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me two linen garments to wear. When I put them on, I felt that among all the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), I was wearing the finest clothes.
