حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَوْ عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ : " إِذَا كَانَ الطَّاعُونُ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا ، فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا عَنْهَا ، وَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ وَلَسْتُمْ بِهَا ، فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهَا " .
It is narrated from the grandfather of Ikrimah bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk: When a plague spreads in an area and you are already present there, then do not leave that place, and if this epidemic spreads in your absence, then do not enter that area.
