حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عن يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : مَا أَظُنُّ أَنَّ أَحَدًا مِنَ النَّاسِ رَأَى مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا دُونَ مَا رَأَيْتُ ، فَذَكَرَ أَمْرَ الصَّبِيِّ ، وَالنَّخْلَتَيْنِ ، وَأَمْرَ الْبَعِيرِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَا لِبَعِيرِكَ يَشْكُوكَ ، زَعَمَ أَنَّكَ سَنَأْتَهُ ، حَتَّى إِذَا كَبُرَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَنْحَرَهُ " قَالَ : صَدَقْتَ ، وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ نَبِيًّا ، قَدْ أَرَدْتُ ذَلِكَ ، وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَا أَفْعَلُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that I do not think anyone has seen such miracles of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as I have seen. Then he mentioned the incidents of the child, the trees, and the camel. However, in this, it is also mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is the matter? Your camel is complaining about you that you used to load water on it and bring it, but now that it has become old, you want to slaughter it?" He said, "You are right, by the One Who sent you as a Prophet, this was indeed my intention, but now I will not do so."
