Hadith 1746

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي رَافِعٍ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ " .
Hammad bin Salamah says that I saw Ibn Abi Rafi’ wearing a ring on his right hand. I asked him about it, and he said that he had seen Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja’far (may Allah be pleased with him) wearing a ring on his right hand, and according to him, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to wear a ring on his right hand.
