It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I will not attribute to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) any statement which he did not say. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Whoever attributes a false statement to me, let him prepare his abode in Hell. And I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: There are two men from my Ummah, one of whom wakes up at night and prepares himself for ablution. At that time, there are some knots tied upon him. When he performs ablution and washes his hands, one knot is untied; when he washes his face, another knot is untied; when he wipes his head, another knot is untied; and when he washes his feet, another knot is untied. And Allah Almighty says to those who are unseen: Look at My servant who has struggled against his own self. Whatever My servant asks of Me, he will be granted.
