Hadith 17448

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ ، عَنْ رَجِلٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى غَيْرَ سَاهٍ وَلَا لَاهٍ ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " ، وَقَالَ يَحْيَى مَرَّةً : " غُفِرَ مَا كَانَ قَبْلَهَا مِنْ سَيِّئَةٍ ".
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Whoever performs ablution and does it well, then offers prayer in such a way that he neither forgets nor is heedless in it, all his past sins will be forgiven.
