حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ : " اقْرَءُوا هَاتَيْنِ الْآيَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ ، فَإِنَّ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَعْطَاهُنَّ أَوْ أَعْطَانِيهِنَّ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: Recite the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, for these two verses have been given to me from beneath the Throne.
