Hadith 17442

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُشَّانَةَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " يَعْجَبُ رَبُّكَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ فِي رَأْسِ الشَّظِيَّةِ لِلْجَبَلِ يُؤَذِّنُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَيُصَلِّي ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : " انْظُرُوا إِلَى عَبْدِي هَذَا ، يُؤَذِّنُ وَيُقِيمُ ، يَخَافُ شَيْئًا ، قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَهُ وَأَدْخَلْتُهُ الْجَنَّةَ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Your Lord is very pleased with that person who grazes goats in a deserted place, and when the time for prayer comes, he gives the call to prayer (adhan) and the iqamah. He fears only Me. I have forgiven him and admitted him to Paradise.
