Hadith 17436

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِشْرَحُ بْنُ هَاعَانَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " كُلُّ مَيِّتٍ يُخْتَمُ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ إِلَّا الْمُرَابِطَ قَالَ يَحْيَى : فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُجْرَى عَلَيْهِ أَجْرُ عَمَلِهِ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The record of deeds of every deceased person is sealed, except for the person who guards the Islamic frontiers in the way of Allah; for him, reward continues to be written in his record of deeds until he is resurrected.
