حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَبِيلٍ ، قَالَ : لَمْ أَسْمَعْ مِنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ إِلَّا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ . قَالَ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ : وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " هَلَاكُ أُمَّتِي فِي الْكِتَابِ وَاللَّبَنِ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا الْكِتَابُ وَاللَّبَنُ ؟ قَالَ : " يَتَعَلَّمُونَ الْقُرْآنَ فَيَتَأَوَّلُونَهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَيُحِبُّونَ اللَّبَنَ فَيَدَعُونَ الْجَمَاعَاتِ وَالْجُمَعَ وَيَبْدُونَ " .
It is narrated with a chain from Abu Qabeel that I have heard only the following hadith from Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him). It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: I fear for my ummah regarding the Book and milk. Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) What is meant by the danger of the Book and milk? He replied: The hypocrites will learn it and will argue with the believers, and they will love milk and because of it will leave the congregation and will abandon the Friday prayers.
