Ata says that once Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) traveled to Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him), but he reached Hazrat Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) instead. Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Tell me the whereabouts of Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him)." So he reached Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Narrate to us that hadith which you heard directly from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and now there is no one left to hear it except you?" He replied, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever conceals the fault of his brother in this world, Allah Almighty will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection." After hearing this hadith, he went to his mount, mounted it, and returned.
