Hadith 17365

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِشْرَحٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ جُعِلَ فِي إِهَابٍ ثُمَّ أُلْقِيَ فِي النَّارِ مَا احْتَرَقَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the Noble Qur'an is wrapped in any leather and thrown into the fire, the fire will not burn it.
