حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْكَلْبِيُّ ، وَيُونُسُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَنْكَحَ الْوَلِيَّانِ ، فَهُوَ لِلْأَوَّلِ مِنْهُمَا ، وَإِذَا بَاعَ مِنْ رَجُلَيْنِ ، فَهُوَ لِلْأَوَّلِ مِنْهُمَا " ، وَقَالَ يُونُسُ : " وَإِذَا بَاعَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْعًا مِنْ رَجُلَيْنِ ".
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a girl has two guardians and both of them marry her off at different places, then the marriage performed first will be valid. And when a person buys something from two men, the one who sells it first will be considered the rightful owner of that thing.
