حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُبَارَكٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الْخَيْرِ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " كُلُّ امْرِئٍ فِي ظِلِّ صَدَقَتِهِ حَتَّى يُفْصَلَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ " أَوْ قَالَ : " يُحْكَمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ " ، قَالَ يَزِيدُ : وَكَانَ أَبُو الْخَيْرِ لَا يُخْطِئُهُ يَوْمٌ إِلَّا تَصَدَّقَ فِيهِ بِشَيْءٍ وَلَوْ كَعْكَةً ، أَوْ بَصَلَةً ، أَوْ كَذَا.
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: On the Day of Resurrection, every person will be under the shade of his charity, until the reckoning and judgment among the people begins. The narrator says about Abu Khair that there was not a single day in which he would not give something in charity, even if it was sweet bread or an onion.
