Hadith 17327

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِمَاسَةَ التُّجِيبِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ ، يَقُولُ وَهُوَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ مِصْرَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ يَبِيعُ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَذَرَهُ " .
Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) once said from the pulpit of Egypt that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is not lawful for a person to sell over the sale of his brother, unless he leaves it."
