حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثٌ إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَيْءٍ شِفَاءٌ : فَفِي شَرْطَةِ مُحْجِمٍ ، أَوْ شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ ، أَوْ كَيَّةٍ تُصِيبُ أَلَمًا ، وَأَنَا أَكْرَهُ الْكَيَّ وَلَا أُحِبُّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If there is any cure in anything, it is in three things: the instrument of the cupper, a sip of honey, and cauterizing a wound which causes pain, but I do not like cauterizing.
