Hadith 17312

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَعْجَبُ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ فِي شَظِيَّةٍ يُؤَذِّنُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَيُقِيمُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your Lord is very pleased with that person who grazes goats in a deserted place, and when the time for prayer comes, he gives the call to prayer (adhan) and says the iqamah.
