Hadith 17309

حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْمَعَافِرِيُّ ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ : بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَاعِيًا ، فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ أَنْ نَأْكُلَ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَأَذِنَ لَنَا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to collect Zakat. I asked for permission to eat from the animals of Zakat, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted us permission.
