Hadith 17301

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَفَّارَةُ النَّذْرِ كَفَّارَةُ الْيَمِينِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The expiation for a vow is the same as the expiation for an oath.
